Here it is the last night, before going back to work tomorrow. The wife and I had told the kids, that we wanted to get out of the house and wanted to get away, which they agreed was a god idea.
My wife gets home at about 12:30, and once again we don't get to leave the home until about 5:30. Had to watch the kids while my son was doing whatever in the basement, he did go and get his oldest lunch from McDonalds, but after lunch he took him down stairs for his nap. Again, we told them we wanted to get out of the house, but we didn't get to leave because of course, my son falls asleep down stairs with his son, when he took him down for his nap.
Now we cannot leave the little one alone, of course, so we had to wait for him to come back up stairs, which after 2 1/2 hours he finally emerged. Then we were finally able to leave the house.
Once out of the house, we found it funny that we didn't have much to actually do, because a lot of shops and stores close early on Sundays, So we went to Meijer and Menards just to be out of the house. We did stop for dinner, which was nice to sit down and eat together and talk like normal humans again.
Unfortunately, during dinner, my wife starts to not feel well. Her throat was starting to get real sore and her sinuses plugged up while eating. We left dinner and she just wanted to come home and go to bed, which when we got home, it was about 8 pm.
My son hadn't fed the oldest child yet, so when his girlfriend got off at 9, he went to get her and pick up food for them. They get home and the parent feed the oldest then disappear back down stairs, so my wife didn't get to go to bed until about 9:30 when all said was done.
I finally get a bit of quiet time after 9:30 and now I get to write this before heading to bed. Tomorrow brings another day.
A day in the life of a father in his 40s with adult kids still living with him
